    5. DUMMY - A variant of the PHC -  Two independent coils that can be wired in parallel to hum cancel, where the magnets of one coil are unmagnetized.  If the pickups are purchases as a neck/bridge set, then the neck most coil of the neck pickup, and the bridge most coil of the bridge pickup can be used as a hum cancelling pair in the same way as two single coil pickups in a J Bass. These pickups have four leads, two per bobbin.
